HALOYE JOHNSON
It's a valuable skill to give 100% in all we do. I strive to achieve this through my work as a service member, teacher and musician. It is my belief that music does not discriminate and that there is a place for everyone in it. Our music and songs are our own stories to tell and everyone’s “song” is a testimony of who they are. I feel that there is no right or wrong way to do music and I strive to exemplify, through my performance, the truest version of myself.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Music is the most fun when there is space for everyone to feel welcomed and encouraged to create. I strive to encapsulate this idea in everything I do. Music and life are all about connecting with others and learning from people and experiences. Making music, whether it be a cover or original work, should have a personal element of ourselves in it because that is what reaches other people. When you hear my work, I hope that I am able to make my feelings reach you!
